High training activities for socio-economic operators, with the aim of explaining the issues of Islamic economics and finance. The course will be delivered starting from June 2019 (Turin venue) and October 2019 (Insubria venue).

The topics covered will be the following: introduction to Islamic finance, markets and economies of Muslim-majority countries, the infrastructure of the Islamic system, Islamic participatory contracts, Islamic non-participatory contracts, Islamic banks, Shari’ah Supervisory Board, Sukuk, Takaful, Islamic indexes, halal and haram aspects in the economy, modest fashion, muslimfriendly tourism and halal certifications.

The course aims, therefore, to explain the Islamic economy and finance.

The course aims, therefore, to provide the essential tools to analyze the Islamic financial system. In particular, at the end of the course it will be possible: to understand the main differences between conventional and Islamic financial systems, to know the main institutions and infrastructures of the Islamic financial system to be able to distinguish between the operations of conventional banks and Islamic banks, to know the main banking contracts and instruments used and applied.
